Ichthys (2017)

*At the time, Ichthys is not available for public screenings.

Ichthys is a short documentary directed by Christos Karalias and produced by me. The project started as a student film. It soon grew into something much larger. In 2017, it premiered at the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival to a sold-out audience.

The film was driven more by instinct than polished cinematography. Its raw authenticity exceeded our expectations. Christos focused on telling the story and conducting interviews. I managed the technical side—cinematography, audio, and post-production.

The documentary follows a six-member family living on a fenced property outside Athens. Their home is full of children’s laughter, music, and homemade films. They even play together as a family band. The film shows their unique way of life and parenting. At its core, it is about love, creativity, and faith in Jesus. It also highlights how these values help guide their children into responsible adulthood.
